ALTERNATE DEPOSIT POLICY Do you have special circumstances that require two different deposit policies? Now you can choose between two different deposit policy messages to print on the reservation confirmations! Setup these two policies in the 'Settings' tab of the program, then select policy 'A' or 'B' on the reservation screen to indicate which message to print on the confirmation.
THE POWER OF THE TO-DO LIST Setting up a task list for reservations, groups and other events is easy. 1. Enter your memo or task under the 'Guests' area 2. Set memo type as 'To-Do' and enter a reminder date. 3. See your task list by selecting the To-Do List from the 'Reports' Menu.
Note: Items stay on the To-Do List until you mark them 'Done'.
USER DEFINED FIELDS You now have a way to track more unique information on your guests by utilizing the 'user defined' fields that you can name yourself! The fields are named in the 'Settings' screen, and all fields are searchable.
Here's some examples of information to track in these fields, the possibilities are endless:
* Food Preferences & Allergies * Family Relations & Pet Names * Marketing region or category * Room Setup * Special Requests

USER DEFINED FIELD REPORTS
For
a long time, users of our
Reservations software have been able to insert specialized information
into 6 user-defined fields in Reservations and Guest information areas
of the software. Now, you can view this information in a searchable,
printable report!
There's no end to the number of things these
reports can track for you and the ways you can use the information. In
this image, for example, a fishing lodge is using the report to keep
track of visitors who will be arriving at the end of November and
whether their fishing licenses are current. They are sorting the
records by the check-in date.
Remember, Reservations users can
use special Find operators to help
narrow information down. See the article entitled "Help with Finding"
for more information!
HELP WITH FINDING
Helping
you manage your data is our business! We want to make sure you're aware
of the fastest and easiest ways to narrow down your data, no matter
what you need.
Whenever you enter find mode in Reservations 8.0,
you have the choice of entering a word or phrase to search for. For
example, if you're searching for a specific guest's information, you can
navigate to the Guests area, press the 'Find' button, and type in a
guest's name in the last name field.
Did you know that you can
also narrow down your search with special operators? Next time you're
trying to search for somebody's last name and you'd like to only see
results with exactly what you type (Smith instead of Smithton, for
example), you can simply type an equals sign in front of their name (=Smith) and
perform your find. Or, if you'd like to find a record where you left the
last name blank, simply type an = in the field and perform your find.
Here
is a list of other operators you can use when finding: = match whole
word (or match empty) !find duplicate values < less
than (especially useful when searching dates or numbers) > greater
than (again, useful when searching dates or numbers) ... range
(once again, useful when searching dates or numbers) // today's
date * not
empty (something has been entered into the field) "" match
